Early Life and Education
His journey to becoming a highly esteemed physician began in Montréal, Canada. Inspired by the power of healing and the opportunity to make a positive difference in people’s lives, he embarked on a medical training career over 13 years, eventually leading him to find his passion for specializing in colorectal surgery. His commitment to hard work and continuous learning has always led him to embrace the latest evolving technology in his medical field, which he attempts to incorporate into his daily practice. This has enabled him to acquire expert skills in successfully treating people with bowel control problems and significantly improving their quality of life. Also, his passion for decreasing the incidence of colon cancer in his community has inspired him to incorporate the latest technology into his practice when performing screening colonoscopies to obtain the best results possible. Having trained at the world-famous Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, he has brought his expertise in treating inflammatory bowel disease into the community, which was seriously lacking. As well, treating hemorrhoids and anal fissures with state-of-the-art minimally invasive techniques has been a welcomed addition to the Highlands County community suffering from these common anorectal disorders.

He was the first board-certified colorectal surgeon to use laparoscopic and robotic surgery in Highlands County, Florida, to treat Crohn’s Disease. Moreover, he was the first to perform sacral nerve stimulator implantation surgery to treat fecal incontinence(loss of bowel control), underscoring his dedication to implementing emerging techniques into his surgical specialty for patients’ wellbeing.
